Who we are

Techlyst Solutions (“we”, “us”) is a technology consultancy based in Karachi, Pakistan. We are the data controller for personal data collected through techlystsolutions.com.

You can reach us at info@techlystsolutions.com or +92 300 4080468.

What we collect

We collect only what a business enquiry requires. Specifically:

  • Identity and contact data you enter into a form: name, job title, company, email address, telephone number.
  • Enquiry content: the description of your requirement, systems in use, company size, industry and timeline.
  • Application data, where you apply for a role: the link to your CV, your LinkedIn profile and your covering message.
  • Newsletter data: your email address, and whether you opened or clicked an email we sent you.
  • Technical data: IP address, browser type, device type, referring page and the pages you viewed, collected in aggregate by our analytics provider.

We do not collect special category data, we do not ask for payment details through this website, and we do not buy contact lists.

Why we use it

Each purpose has a lawful basis:

  • To respond to your enquiry and prepare a proposal — necessary for the performance of, or steps towards, a contract.
  • To assess a job application — necessary for steps towards an employment contract, and our legitimate interest in recruiting.
  • To send our monthly newsletter — your consent, withdrawable in one click in every email.
  • To understand how the website is used and improve it — our legitimate interest in operating an effective website.
  • To meet accounting, tax and regulatory obligations — compliance with a legal obligation.

We do not use your data for automated decision-making or profiling, and we do not sell it to anyone.

How long we keep it

Enquiries that do not become engagements are deleted after 24 months. Engagement records are kept for the duration of the relationship and for the statutory retention period afterwards. Unsuccessful job applications are kept for 12 months so we can consider you for future roles, unless you ask us to delete them sooner. Newsletter subscriptions are kept until you unsubscribe.

Who we share it with

We share personal data only with service providers who process it on our behalf under contract:

  • Our email and productivity provider, for receiving and storing correspondence.
  • Our form-handling and transactional email provider, for delivering website form submissions to us.
  • Our analytics provider, for aggregate website usage statistics.
  • Our email marketing provider, if you subscribe to the newsletter.
  • Google reCAPTCHA, which assesses whether a form submission is automated.
  • Professional advisers and authorities, where we are legally required to disclose.

Some of these providers operate outside your country. Where data is transferred internationally, we rely on the provider’s standard contractual clauses or an equivalent safeguard.

Cookies and analytics

This website does not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. If analytics are enabled, they are configured to collect aggregate usage data with IP addresses anonymised where the provider supports it. The Google Maps embed on our contact page loads only after you actively choose to load it, so no request is made to Google unless you click.

You can block cookies in your browser settings without losing any functionality of this site.

How we protect it

Access to enquiry data is restricted to the people who need it. Accounts require multi-factor authentication, devices are encrypted, and access is reviewed periodically. We are a consultancy that designs access controls for clients, and we hold ourselves to the same standard.

If a breach affecting your personal data occurs, we will notify you and the relevant authority where the law requires it.

Your rights

Subject to your local law, you may ask us to: confirm what data we hold about you; provide a copy of it; correct it; delete it; restrict how we use it; or object to our use of it. Where we rely on consent, you may withdraw it at any time.

Send any request to info@techlystsolutions.com. We will respond within 30 days, and we will not charge you for a reasonable request.

Changes to this policy

We will update this page when our practices change and revise the “last updated” date. Material changes affecting how we use data you have already given us will be notified directly where we hold a valid email address for you.
