About us

We sell order, not software.

Techlyst exists because most mid-market companies do not have a software problem — they have six sources of truth, and no one accountable for making them one. Four practices, one team, one plan.

What we actually do

Take six systems and make them one architecture

Finance in one place, inventory in another, HR in a spreadsheet, plant data on paper. Every report becomes an act of reconstruction and every decision waits for it.

Our work is to collapse that into a single operating architecture — one ledger, one item master, one reporting model, contracted interfaces — and then to install the governance that stops it fragmenting again. The software is a consequence of that design, not the starting point.

It is also why we implement all three major mid-market ERP platforms rather than reselling one. Our commercial interest sits in the implementation being right, which is the only condition under which selection advice can be neutral.

How we work

Four commitments we are willing to be held to

Not values on a wall. Each one has a visible consequence in how an engagement runs.

Say the difficult thing early

If the data is not ready, the scope is wrong, or you do not need the software you asked us to quote, you hear it in week two — in writing. Late honesty is the most expensive thing in this industry.

Reconcile, then declare done

Nothing is signed off on a demonstration. Migrations reconcile to the trial balance, interfaces reconcile daily, and controls produce evidence. Done means provable.

Build for the handover

Documentation, repositories, runbooks and training are deliverables, not gestures. Our engagements are designed to end, and to leave your team independent when they do.

One team, one plan

ERP, integrations, reporting and infrastructure are delivered by one accountable team. No vendor triangle, no unowned interface, no gap between the platform and the process.

Methodology

Discover · Design · Deliver · Sustain

The sequence is the method, and we do not reorder it to hit a date. Each phase has named outputs you can hold us to.

01

Discover

Process mapping before software selection.

We walk the floor and the ledger. Two to three weeks of structured interviews and document tracing produce a current-state process map, a data-quality baseline, and a written list of the decisions your systems cannot currently answer.

  • Current-state process map
  • Data-quality baseline
  • Requirements register
  • Fit/gap shortlist

02

Design

One target architecture, agreed on paper.

Chart of accounts, item and customer master rules, approval hierarchies, integration contracts and reporting model are designed together — not discovered during build. You sign off a blueprint, not a demo.

  • Solution blueprint
  • Master-data standard
  • Integration contracts
  • Segregation-of-duties matrix

03

Deliver

Configure, migrate, test, train — in that order.

Iterative configuration with fortnightly conference-room pilots. Data migration runs three times before go-live: trial, dry run, and cutover, each reconciled to the closing trial balance. Users train on their own data.

  • Configured environment
  • Reconciled migration
  • UAT sign-off
  • Role-based training

04

Sustain

Hypercare, then measurable adoption.

Four to eight weeks of hypercare with named owners and a burn-down of issues. Then a governance rhythm: master-data stewardship, monthly close review, and a Power BI adoption dashboard that shows whether the system is actually being used.

  • Hypercare log
  • SOPs and policies
  • Adoption dashboard
  • Quarterly roadmap review

Our history

How the practice grew

Each practice was added because clients kept asking the previous one to solve a problem it could not reach.

01 · 2019

Founded around one practice

Techlyst started as an ERP implementation practice for mid-market manufacturers — small team, one platform, one promise: no go-live before the data reconciles.

02 · 2021

Governance became a discipline

Repeated engagements showed the same pattern: the implementation was rarely the problem, the master data and controls were. Master-data governance and GRC became standalone practices.

03 · 2023

The Microsoft and BI layer

Clients asked for the reporting and productivity layer to be delivered by the team that understood the ledger underneath it. Microsoft 365, Power BI and Power Platform joined the practice.

04 · 2026

One accountable architecture

Today the four practices — ERP, Microsoft and BI, Development and Integration, Governance and Supply — are delivered as one programme with one plan and one accountable team.

The team

Six leads, each accountable for something specific

Consulting firms hide behind collective nouns. These are the roles that sign off work on your engagement, and what each one owns.

ERP Practice Lead

NetSuite · SAP Business One · Odoo

Owns solution blueprints, fit/gap assessments and delivery quality across all ERP engagements. Signs off every chart of accounts and migration reconciliation before go-live.

Data & Governance Lead

Master data · GRC · SoD

Responsible for master-data standards, stewardship models and the risk-and-control matrices that turn policy into enforced system behaviour.

Microsoft & Analytics Lead

Microsoft 365 · Power BI · Power Platform

Owns tenant architecture, security baselines and the semantic models behind every report — including the metric definitions clients argue about first.

Engineering Lead

Custom development · Integration

Accountable for integration contracts, API design, code quality and the handover pack. Every interface leaves with an owner, an alert and a replay path.

Delivery & Adoption Lead

Programme delivery · Change · Training

Runs the plan, the risk register and the adoption curve. Publishes usage against target monthly and stays until the curve holds.

Infrastructure Lead

Cloud · Networks · Devices

Sizes and commissions the infrastructure under the architecture — servers, network, capture devices and licensing — and hands over the as-built record.

Named profiles and photographs are being finalised. Ask for the CVs of the specific people who would run your engagement — we will send them.

Credentials

Platforms, partnerships and frameworks

We name only what we hold or actively work to. If a certification matters to your procurement process, ask and we will send the evidence.

Working with us

How engagements run

With a paid two-to-three week Discover phase, or a free 45-minute consultation if you are still scoping. Discover produces a current-state process map, a data-quality baseline and a written recommendation — and it is deliberately structured so you can take that output to another partner if you want to.

Yes. We deliver remotely across the Gulf and the wider region, with on-site presence for discovery, cutover and training. Time-zone overlap and travel are agreed in the engagement letter rather than assumed.

Fixed price for a defined scope after Discover, time-and-materials for genuinely exploratory work, and monthly retainers for support and managed services. We do not quote a fixed price before Discover, because a fixed price on an unknown scope is either padded or a future argument.

Frequently. We begin with a two-week assessment — configuration review, data-quality audit, open-issue triage — and give you a written recovery plan with fixed scope before any remediation begins.

Four to eight weeks of hypercare with named owners and a public issue burn-down, then an optional support agreement. Adoption reporting continues monthly for the first quarter either way.

You do — blueprints, configuration records, SOPs, repositories and runbooks, stated in the contract. We keep no hostage artefacts.
